I Am One

I’ve often wondered if God really knows me as a father knows his child? Does my life really matter to God? Does He really see my struggles, my joys, my laughter, my desires, and my needs like a father who sees his child’s struggles, joys, laughter, desires, and needs?

He answered my question one day as I was reading through one of my less-than-favorite books of the Bible, Numbers. I didn’t really care about who begot who, so the book has never been all that interesting to me. But then, God showed me that numbers mean something to Him and the names listed were important – every single one. He knew the name of every man, every woman, and every child. That’s when I realized one is the most important number. And I am one. He knows my name. My life matters to Him. He knows me. He loves me. He sees me. And He knows you!

There is only one true God and there is only one you. And because God loves you and wants a relationship with you, He gave His one and only Son so that you can become one with Him and have eternal life.

I believe that by leading one life to Jesus will lead to saving millions of lost souls. It’s like a domino effect. Once you tell one person, they’ll tell another and so on and so on. Before you know it, you will have impacted so many lives. Please join me in the One Impact movement to reach the world.

Where is the Hope?

Imagine a world living under the curse of sin where giving to one another didn’t exist. The homeless would have no hope and more hungry children would die. Callous hearts controlling the future would replace the ministries, hospitals, and professionals who cared for people. Education, foundations and scholarships would be meaningless.

But because of Christ, we have hope. His whole existence is the core of giving. Without Him dying on the cross for our sins, we would cease to exist in the true meaning of life. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.- I John 3:2-3.

Hope is not seen,

Hope is not heard,

Hope is in Christ,

Who changes everything.

Play the Game

As a young child I thought playing dominos meant standing the little black rectangles on end, then tapping the last one, and watching them fall one by one against each other. Quite boring, I thought, especially having to stand them all up again. But as I grew I learned the real game of dominos. Matching up the numbers of my pile connects to the numbers of the other players’ dominos. Without one piece, you can’t move on to the next.

Do you know that leading one life to believe in Christ might lead to saving millions of lost souls? It’s a domino effect. Once you tell one person, they’ll tell another and so on and so on. Before you know it, you will have impacted so many lives. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…- Matthew 28:19. So no matter how you play dominos, keep playing!

I pray that my life will never cause any to fall. Lord, give me the wisdom to say Your words, be Your hands, see with Your eyes and hear with Your ears. Use my life to impact Your kingdom. Amen

A Beautiful Miracle!

Do you know that you experience a miracle every day of your life? For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. -Psalm 139:14. The next time you see your reflection in the mirror, take a look at a wonderful miracle that you see in front of you. In His eyes… you are precious!

Lord,

Thank You for the many gifts You give us. So many times we take for granted all the blessings that have fallen on us. We often forget Who is responsible for them. I pray that You will use my talents and gifts to uplift Your name on high. Help me to lead others into Your presence and encourage the gifts of others to do the same. Thank You Father, for giving us the greatest gift of all which is found in Your Son, Jesus, our Savior. Thank You Jesus for loving us. Amen.

All Dogs Go To Heaven!

My sweet husband and I decided that it was time to expand our family. Since all of our sons are grown – it was time for a little girl. She has brought so much joy and laughter and work! It’s amazing how God gives us these cute, little creatures to make us smile. And I’m a believer that all dogs go to heaven!  So meet our little girl – Reagan!

True Love!

Dear Family. . . I don’t tell you often enough how much I love you. It’s only because of Christ that I have a deeper knowledge of what love is. Let me tell you what I’m learning about Christ dwelling in me and what His love has done in my life.

My love for you is willing to meet you where you are. My love for you forfeits any thoughts of changing you to an image I may have that you should become. My love for you accepts you unconditionally. I do not love you because of what you are or may become; I do not love you if you say or do certain things I want. I do not love you for what you may give me or what I can gain from you.

I love you because it’s His love. That’s all there is to it. It’s actually quite miraculous. You can’t get around it. You can’t stop it. My love for you will never end because His love never ends.

Is Change Possible?

God loves me just where I am, but He doesn’t want to leave me there. He wants to use all that happens to me and around me for growth and maturity and for His glory. Everything that happens to me is used for what God wants to happen in me and through me. He uses where I have been, where I am, and where I am going. And He loves me every step of the way. May I be as Paul, Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, -Philippians 3:13.

In seeking God and His ways, reaching forward, we begin to change. The more we’re in God’s presence, the more we know Him. That means knowing of His love which takes us through all things. The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing, -Zephaniah 3:17

Small Words

Our big God lives in small words. We think long words are deep and strong, mean more, tell us more, make us seem wise. But in short words we see that God speaks to us in clear and plain words of “Good News”… to help us know Him and His will. The best short word of all, of course, is love. For God is Love and He sent His Son to save us from our sin. Christ was the Lamb of God slain for us, Who rose from the dead and now lives on the throne. Through His grace we know He will touch and heal our pain and give us strength to meet each day. With the shield of faith and the sword of the Word we will win the fight. Our foe will not beat us when we stand firm and true, and when we do not doubt that God is for us and He works in us.

We can tell the world of Christ in short words, words of faith and love and grace and joy. He will bring peace and bless us when we seek His face. These words we must share with all. He gives us the time and place and the heart to reach out. We are His church, may we be a voice to sing of His truth and praise His Name. May we be His love to the world.

Give, Give and Give

Today is the day to make the change. Give your time…give your love…give your forgiveness…give your strength…give your peace…give your encouragement…give your mercy…give your faith…give your comfort…give your compassion…give your prayers…give your hope…give your salvation…give your gifts…give your influence…give to others what Christ has given to you. Give and it will be given to you. -Luke 6:38.

Jesus, You are the King of kings, Lord of lords and I thank You for giving Your life to me. Thank You for loving me and wanting me to be with You forever in eternity. Help me this week to keep You first in my heart. Make Your presence known to everyone that crosses my path. Show me opportunities to give Your light to others. Let my ways be Your ways. I love You. Amen.
